Neither Magento nor any 3rd party extension support a dedicated Suncorp payment gateway for Magento (to date). I called up Suncorp and discussed my case. They told me their system works around MIGS (Mastercard Internet Gateway Service). So any payment gateway extension, that works for MIGS will also support Suncorp’s Virtual POS. In clear words, Virtual POS is just a re-branded version of MIGS. Same goes for Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
MY FIX
Find and install the payment extension for Commweb at Magento website. It works for Suncorp Virtual POS. The extension version is outdated but it works fine with Magento 1.4.2.0. If you receive any errors like “unable to set payment method”, try the fix I have already posted here. Please be reminded that this solution might be specific to Australian banks only. Discuss with your merchant services provider before applying this fix.
